Does any of this sound like you?
First person in my family to go to graduate school.
Not sure how to network with my peers, faculty, or staff.
Want to develop and use my authentic voice.
Have you tried any of these things?
Building a mentor map.
Increasing your confidence through physical movement.
Joining clubs or organizations.

Graduate school is meant to train you on how to ethically analyze and problem solve.
As a graduate student, you are literally creating new knowledge.
Seek a mentor that fits your needs FIRST, then think about the research.
Showing up at 20% energy counts just as much as showing up at 80% energy. Sometimes it's just important to show up.
